Quota system and federal character law was what the North pleaded for, the benefit of their people when they were behind in qualified human capital. It was respected then. To enable the North catch up with the South, educational standard was reduced, entry requirement into university changed from Higher School Certificate and GCE Advanced Level to mere SSCE and the rubbish called JAMB. With this the North have produced mediocre that Buhari is relying on in shaping his lopsided appointments devoid of federal character. It is the South that is now pleading with the North to remember the principal of Federal character. What an irony
