JUST A COMMON SENSE!!!!
I am not a member of IPOB neither am I a supporter of MASSOB but that does not mean that I do not believe in the right of people to self determination. I don't believe in violence and I may not support Kanu's methodology in fighting his cause but his continued incarceration without trial and total disregard to the bail granted him by a Magistrate Court of this land is becoming dangerous even when the so called Igbo leaders have chosen to keep quite! I am beginning to ask myself the following questions and I know a lot of people are asking the same questions.
1). Why must armless protesters be fired at and even killed if the pogrom of 1967-1970 is not being continued?.
2). Why should our government continue to detain Nnamdi Kanu while Ogwuche the Mastermind of the inglorious Nyanya bomb blast is walking the streets of Nigeria a free man?.
3). Why should the Fed. Govt. hastily order the release of over 200 people suspected to be members of the deadly and dreaded Boko Haram coming into Port Harcourt City through Aba without proper investigation?
4). Why is the Fed. Govt. wasting man power and man hours on peaceful protesters by deploying the combined forces of Navy, Air, Army and police to monitor and possibly shoot at people who are not armed with any form of defensive device excepting their "pure water"?.
To me Nnamdi Kanu should be released forthwith for peace to reign. I am worried because this country cannot afford another civil war now.
Tensions are rising. Kanu's arrest has ended up making him unnecessarily popular. People who did not see the need for Biafra are signing up with IPOB. They protested in over 60 countries successfully and it was only in Nigeria that they recorded casualties.
The Federal Government should urgently heed the warning of the Paramount ruler of Kano Alhaji sanusi before this country disintegrates.
We all should also remember that Boko Haram became what it is today because of the way the Fed. Govt. handled it at the initial stages. A word is enough for the wise.........
