Former Governor Abubakar Audu of Kogi State has won the tightly
contested governorship election in the state, according official results
announced by the Independent National Electoral Commisison (INEC) in
Lokoja the Kogi state capital.
Mr. Audu, who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
defeated the incumbent governor, Captain Idris Wada (ret.), of the
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) .
Mr. Audu scored 240, 867 votes to defeat Mr. Wada who scored 205, 977 votes.
