Man jailed six- month for stealing phone
A middle aged man, Yusufu Waheed, has been sentenced to six- month imprisonment for stealing a Techno phone valued at N10, 000.
Waheed was arraigned by police from Akinpelu Division before Chief
Magistrate (Mrs.) Y.N. Pinheiro of an Ogba Chief Magistrate Court
sitting in Ikeja.
The defendant, who resides at no 13 Jegede Street,
off Arowagba Street, Oshodi , Lagos, was arraigned on a two- count
charge of stealing.
Police prosecutor, Inspector
Uche Simon, told the court that the defendant was arrested at 5:00amon
Monday at Oshodi for stealing one Techno phone valued at N10,000, the
property of one Odgenimah Frances.
Simon said the convict had jumped through the window into the room of his victim and stole the phone.
He added that the convict was apprehended by members of the vigilante group and handed over to the police
