I've been reading a mass of information on the N25bn allegedly paid by the FG to a company called SystemSpecs for the use of their e-platform called Remita for the operation of the Treasury Single Account.
The more I read, the more I realized how dangerous this APC-govt is. They claim to be fighting corruption but not only incubate corruption right there in the Federal Executive Council, they're actually taking a brazenly audacious route in siphoning funds via the ingenious method of entering into very dubious agreements where the nests of some private individuals are feathered at the expense of the Nigerian state.
Fela called it "Authority Stealing" or "Pen Robbery".
So one company was paid a whooping N25bn in one day for doing what was a fait accompli by reason of the FG's order for implementation of TSA? And this govt has been preaching frugality, anti-corruption and a departure from the past? Gosh!
I won't attempt an analysis of the Remita Scam today (maybe later). I only want to urge fellow Nigerians to read, read and read...try to find out whatever you can about the Remita Scam and judge for yourselves the type of folks running your lives today.
