The senator representing Anambra Central senatorial district, Iyom Uche Ekwunife on Sunday, took a tour of the erosion sites in the state in company of members of the senate committee on environment.
Their first port of call was the gully at Nkpor, near Onitsha which is threatening to completely erode the road and flyover there. Recall that we brought you a report last week (READ HERE) that Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano personally rushed to the site where he ordered an immediate palliative measure to curtail the rampaging erosion.
From Nkpor, the senate committee will proceed to the Nanka erosion site.
Last month, Uche Ekwunife also moved a motionon the floor of the senate demanding an immediate state of emergency on South East roads.
