Dasuki before election: "I will never allow Buhari to rule Nigeria."
On August 26, 1985 when Nigerians were celebrating the Muslim festival, IBB instead of enjoying the holiday was busy perfecting plans on how to overthrow Buhari, the then laissez-faire military Head of State, whose achievements were mainly Idiagbon's exclusive ideas.
Major Dasuki and his colleagues, Abubakar Dangiwa Umar, Lawan Gwadebe and Abdulmumuni Aminu, arrested Buhari at gun point.
Being a coward, Buhari was arrested with no resistance at all, his government was overthrown and IBB took over as Head of State and C-in-C while the gallant Idiagbon was in far away Saudi Arabia. Buhari was relocated to prison where he was indoctrinated as manifested in his extremist views, afterwards.
Major Sambo Dasuki was rewarded with the position of ADC to the C-in-C, IBB. Dasuki's father was made the Sultan of Sokoto after a heated and very controversial royal battle in the Sakwatto Emirate/Caliphate.
On the other hand, Buhari became a tenant of a Maximum prison for two years. He lost touch with his family and reality. His wife, Safinatu, divorced him immediately he was released not because he was jailed but because he was exhibiting certain traits which could only be linked to a man who has lost focus and have turned unpredictable due to fear, lack of trust and confidence in others, e.t.c.
Buhari's second missionary journey into the Seat of Power have given him his only prayer in life, which is, to revenge and put his shameful past behind him. Dasuki is his first target, afterwhich he will move ahead to the next on his list of those to be removed from the system. For your information, the names on Buhari's list is endless so we are in for a long run of the shameful show of a presidential abuse of power and institutions just to get back at his perceived enemies.........
