God have mercy...........

I can not believe my eyes.. I was standing on top of Lagos mainland bridge this morning. I saw a woman carrying a baby on her back.. gathered by large crowd near the mainland lagoon water... guess what?? she wanted to throw the baby inside the water...
And when she was asked what happened and reason for her action, she kept quite without response not until the police invaded the crowed got her arrested and took her along to the station with the baby...
Am still wondering what this society is turning into..
This one is not facebook or social media news, be cos I witnessed it live..
But my question is this? What could be the reason for her action.
