the original letter showing how the ex-finance minister and coordinating minister of the economy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala sought approval from former president Jonathan to transfer part of funds recovered from the Abacha loot to the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA).
The NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki had explained during a meeting with the president that he urgently needed the funds to purchase ammunitions, security and other intelligence equipment for the military in their war against the terrorist group, Boko Haram.
Dasuki alongside other prominent members of the PDP including owner and founder of Daar Communications, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, are being charged with different counts of corruption and money laundering to the tune of $2billion.
There has been several calls by Governor Oshiomhole and other prominent members of the APC for Okonjo-Iweala to be prosecuted for complicity in the diversion of the funds. In defence, Okonjo-Iweala through her media spokesman, Paul Nwabuikwu released this letter to journalists showing she may not afterall be held liable for the alleged misuse of the funds by Dasuki
