Anxiety Rises Over Deeper Life Pastor Kidnapped In Kogi State

David Onubedo, a pastor of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) in Kebbi State, was reportedly kidnapped on Monday evening in Okene, Kogi State. 

 

 

Mr. Onubedo, Kebbi State overseer of the DCLM, was kidnapped around 9 pm, a source told our correspondent. He said the pastor was returning from a session of the church’s Bible study presided over by the General Superintendent, William Kumuyi, and transmitted to all Deeper Life branches nationwide, when he was cornered and kidnapped.
A church leader told our correspondent that church members were praying and searching for the kidnapped pastor.
Our source disclosed that the kidnappers called the kidnapped pastor's wife on Tuesday and demanded a ransom N50 million for her husband's release.
Another church member said Pastor Kumuyi and thousands of church members all over Nigeria were praying steadfastly for the embattled psdtor's quick release. The source added that news of the pastor's kidnap had spread on social media, including text messages.
