He said that man had commenced a trip that had spiritual connotations from the day he encountered Jesus. Yako urged Christians to go develop a relationship that was beyond ankle-deep fellowship with God by seeking means of advancing their walk with and knowledge of Him. “Ankle deep Christians are people that are born again and yet have not gone deep in knowing the Lord, they are slow in growing.
“The journey inside God has no limit but grows from one level to another until you are deep in knowing God. “If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded. “Having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose in Christ, “ Yako advised.
According to him, it is only when one goes deep in the Lord that there will be an encounter with His wonders at every stage of life, and life on earth will then be filled with joy forever. He said: “ Walking in the ways of the Lord is a paramount trademark identified with every Christian, in order to fulfill our covenant with God.’’
He, therefore, enjoined Nigerians to forgive one another always so as to attain greater heights in their spiritual fulfillment. He quoted Ephesians 3: 15-19 to encourage Christians to remain with Christ even till death. “I pray that out of His riches, he may strengthen you with power through his spirit in your inner being, “ he said.
