Nearly 100 Indian school children were hospitalised on Thursday
after eating a free midday meal at a government-run school near Mumbai.
A case of food poisoning is being suspected.
According to AFP, the situation was revealed by the police who added that some of them were in a critical condition.
Talking about the sad event, Shrikrishna Kokate, deputy police
chief of Palghar district in the western state of Maharashtra, said: “Ninety-seven have been admitted to hospital, some of them are critical. They started vomiting after eating their midday meal.”
