On the Duggar Family’s new show on TLC, “Jill and Jessa: Counting On,” Anna Duggar revealed that she visited her husband, Josh, while he was in rehab for a sex addition.
Christian Today reports that, on the show’s episode “At Home &
Away,” Anna and her four-month old daughter, Meredith, are seen visiting
Josh while he was in rehab at the Reformers Unanimous facility in
Illinois.
When news broke that Josh had sexually abused his sisters and a friend
as a teenager and that he had an account with adultery website Ashley
Madison last summer, many said Anna should leave her husband, but she
decided to stay with Josh. The couple is reportedly in the process of
working toward healing and restoration in their marriage.
Josh’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, said on their website that Josh is now back at home, but he is continuing to meet with a counselor.
"I just got back from visiting Joshua," Anna shared with the family on
the show. "And he loves each one of you guys very much and is just
really grateful for a family that is willing to talk straight and to
grieve when you have fallen but also to love and forgive and to have
hope."
Anna also stated that she is glad her husband is getting help for his
issues, though she never imagined she would have to “walk through” such a
difficult situation.
"This visit was great because it definitely gives a lot of hope," she
said. "But the weight of everything is also there. Definitely, it drags
me deeper to my faith. God's grace can give me the strength to love Josh
when others would say that he doesn't deserve it."
