A professional photographer, Abbie Rogers who has been in the game
for five years, has got countless photoshoots under her belt, including
ones with very new babies. She was taking photos of this newborn when a
hilarious but cute thing happened; the baby decided to interrupt the
entire session with a quick pee.
Abbie posted the photo of a newborn photoshoot being interrupted by
one the subjects having a quick wee, and it quickly and unsurprisingly
went viral.
As Abbie explains, the shoot began like any other newborn session:
"It started with soothing and feeding baby and posing him with Mom for the parent shots, which is what I always start with.
"Then of course we all know what happened next!
"After that, we just dabbed up the mess with lots of paper
towels and kept on going. Sweet little Pryor was amazing for the rest of
the shoot!"
Baby Pryor was in fact the couple's third little boy, and Abbie adds, "I'm
sure it's not the first time one of their little guys have gotten them.
We all had a good laugh about it, especially when I showed them the
image later!"
It's not the first time Abbie has witnessed the call of nature.
"I mean, I'm photographing naked babies for a couple of hours
during a shoot so it's bound to happen at least once during the session.
"Not always on parents, they typically luck out but something I
have planned for the shoot usually gets it! Let's just say I do lots of
laundry after a newborn session."
Although being weed on is an occupational hazard, Abbie says there
are few other things to watch out for when on a newborn shoot.
"Safety is the number one thing when it comes to newborn sessions.
"Other than that, just patience. I never rush through a session and always go at the baby's pace.
"If baby isn't liking a pose I just transition to a new one.
"These sweet babies and their newborn photos are my favorite
thing to photograph, they're never this small again and they change so
much in those first few weeks, documenting them in all their newness is
just amazing."
