The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) branch office in Calabar, the Cross River state capital, has been hit by by an explosion.
A witness who spoke with TheCable on phone, described what he heard as 'a deafening explosion', saying it occurred 'around 1pm'.
A source at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, disclosed
to Premium Times that scores of injured persons were seen being brought
into the emergency unit of the hospital. "I could count up to seven people with serious burns," the source said.
