Notorious Boko Haram Member on the Run Arrested in Ogun

 
The Ogun state Police Command says it has arrested a 22-years-old man identified as Umaru Muktar. The police revealed that Muktar who hails from Gonge in Maiduguri, Borno state, was arrested at Kara around Mowe area of Ogun state near Lagos last February 25 following a tip-off.
 
The suspect was paraded on Mondy at the Headquarters of the Federal Special Anti – Robbery Squad (FSARS) at Magbon – Abeokuta, Ogun state, the Commissioner of Police, AbdulMajid Ali, said the suspect had confessed to be being a member of Boko haram sect.
 
It was gathered that Muktar ran away from Maiduguri two and half years ago and started living in Ogun after he was initiated into the muderous Boko haram organisation by one Mustapha.
 
Muktar was apprehended with the help of members of the Hausa community in Kara, Ogun state. Muktar explained that he ran away from Borno state after security agents started looking for him.
 
It has been gathered that Muktar might have participated most of Boko Haram's savage attacks on churches, mosques, markets and motorparks
