Punch reports that Kolawole made the confirmation today at a news briefing held at the force headquarters in Abuja.

She also confirmed that at the press briefing with Ese’s mother, Mrs. Rose Oruru in attendance that the girl would undergo a comprehensive physical examination.

Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, has ordered that a panel should be set up to find out why Ese’s rescue was delayed for more than five months after the father reported the matter to the police since August last year.
