ISIS has reportedly destroyed the Clock Church in Mosul.
According to ChristianToday.com, photos of the blasted church haven’t
been released, and ISIS has yet to come forward to claim responsibility
for a hit on the Iraqi church.
ISIS fighters reportedly planted explosives at the church and then detonated them Monday morning.
The Dominican Order built the Clock Church in 1872.
The news of the bombing comes as a report is released that details that Islamic State fighters are rewarded for keeping more sex slaves and having more children and wives.
According to The Christian Post, Aymenn Jawad al-Tamimi, a British
scholar, found that the base salary for an ISIS fighter was only $50 a
month but payment doubled for each wife, sex slave or captive the
fighter caught and kept. Any child under the age of 15 brought in an
additional $35.
Al-Tamimi also found that ISIS might be struggling financially to pay
its members and having to ration some of its supplies. Still, that
doesn’t mean ISIS is going away.
"You have to be careful," Al-Tamimi said. "Some defectors are claiming
that the Islamic State's end is imminent, but I don't see that. It's
just not the case."
