A woman is in hot soup after stabbing her husband to death because he refused to show her text messages on his phone.
According to the Zimbabwean police, 36-year-old Fortunate Nsoro of
Chitungwiza, has been sentenced to serve 10 years in jail after being
convicted of culpable homicide in connection with the stabbing death of
55-year-old Petros Mutasa, who was killed in front of his 8-year-old
daughter.
Police investigation revealed that at around 7:00 p.m., the couple
was in their bedroom when Mutasa received a text message on his mobile
phone.
Eager to know who sent the message, Nsoro demanded to read the
message, but her husband refused. He also refused to disclose the
content of the message.
This led to an argument which later resulted in a violent fight.
The wife ran to the kitchen and returned with three knives which she
used to stab the husband to death.
Police were called to the scene by a neighbour who heard the man's
scream of death. Mutasa was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.
Autopsy results showed that the cause of death was due to
lacerations, contusions, abrasions and cuts consistent with the use of
sharp force.
