Bishop T.D. Jakes’ megachurch The Potter’s House has teamed up with
dating website ChristianMingle.com in an effort to help Christian
singles connect. The Christian Post
reports members of the Dallas-based megachurch will receive exclusive
offers from Christian Mingle, such as discounted membership fees.
The partnership began as a way to connect Dallas church members with
The Potter’s House members from other campuses, as well as Christians
who don’t attend the megachurch complex.
Potter's House pastor Bonne Moon said, "This one-of-a-kind singles
program from ChristianMingle will expand the opportunity for our singles
to build a strong sense of 'like-minded' community with others, and may
even spark some love matches!"
Spark Networks CEO Michael Egan was also enthusiastic about the idea.
"Having worked with numerous church leaders across the country to shape
this unique initiative, we're excited that we continue to expand our
ability to help single Christians meet others that share their faith
while also strengthening their ties to their church,” he said.
Jakes and his wife have been married for almost 30 years.
The pastor said, "Marriage requires work and expecting the unexpected.
