The embattled former director of media and publicity of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign organisation, Femi
Fani-Kayode, reportedly spent the night in the custody of the Economic
and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
We reported it here earlier
that the former Minister of Aviation, was invited to appear for
questioning at the anti-graft agency’s headquarters in Abuja on Monday.
Upon arrival, he was subjected to rigorous questioning by different
investigators of the agency.
Authorities said they’re quizzing Fani-Kayode over a sum of N840
million allegedly paid into his account on the eve of the 2015 general
elections, as investigators said they suspect the fund was part of the
$2.1billion allegedly misappropriated by a former National Security
Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
