A former Principal Private Secretary to
former President Goodluck Jonathan, Hassan Tukur, has been arrested by
operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on
Monday evening in his Abuja residence.
According to Premium Times,
it was not clear why he was arrested, but the anti-graft agency has
been investigating how government monies were stolen and diverted for
political purposes during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan.
The spokesperson of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, when contacted,
requested the question be sent via text message due to poor telephone
signal. He did not revert after the message was sent to him.
However, a competent source in the know of what transpired,
confirmed that Tukur who was one of the most powerful persons during the
Jonathan's administration, was 'picked last night and is still with the EFCC'.
This is a developing story, we'll be bringing you more updates as soon as its made available.
