Doctors have successfully operated on a teenage boy in Malaysia to remove a mass believed to be his unborn twin.
According to reports, Mohd Zul Shahril Saidin, 15, had been
carrying the foetus since birth. The condition is known as 'foetus in
foetu' - a developmental abnormality in which a mass of tissue
resembling a fetus forms inside the body.

It is believed that the foetus had hair, legs, hands and genitals.
While speaking about the successful surgery, the mother of the boy
identified as Hasmah Ahmad, expressed joy for the feat. She thanked
surgeons in the north-western Malaysian state of Kedah for successfully
performing the operation.
'The foetus removed from my son's stomach was formed with
organs like those of a baby – only the nose and mouth were not
complete.' she said
Mrs Ahmad said she and her family had already performed funeral rites on the foetus, which is now buried in a cemetery.
The boy is now recovering in hospital.
