Placard-wielding federal workers have been pictured protesting
earlier this morning as they reportedly locked the main gate of the
Ministry of Finance and prevented the minister, Kemi Adeosun, from
entering her office.
It was gathered that the protesters who was chanting: “She must go! She must go! Olee! Ole! Ole! Ole!,” called for her immediate removal, accusing her of not paying their allowances.
Some of the inscriptions on their placards were:
1. 'PMB is an agent of change, Kemi Adeosun is an agent of negative change'
2. 'You are destroying federal ministry of finance madam kemi adeosun'
3. Kemi Adeosun must go'
4. 'Inflation is 15 percent courtesy of Kemi Adeosun’s incompetence'
5. 'Adeosun’s score card is F9'
According to reports, while sighting the police, the protesters
quickly locked up the exit gate of the building to prevent the security
personnel from entering.
The workers later went from one offce after another to chase out those who refused to join them in the protest.
Attempts to get the comments of the leaders of the protest were unsuccessful as they declined to speak.
As at the time of filling this report, heavy anti-riot policemen were at the main gate of the building.
