Marimar Quiora
The story of a 21-year-old vlogger who was born with a facial tumour is giving many people all over the world inspiration.
Marimar Quiora is making a name for herself on YouTube with her
make-up tutorials – despite being born with a facial tumour that leaves
her unable to speak or eat.
According to The Sun, Quiora once hid her face from strangers in
the street, but now proudly bares her beauty to millions of people who
follow her online. She was born with a facial tumour called cystic
hygroma, which means she has to use sign language in her videos to
communicate. She has become a great inspiration to many people.
Marimar, from California, said: “To me, beauty means to accept yourself for who you are, and to ignore what other people tell you.
“You show your beauty how it is, it doesn't matter if you have a different looking face, accept yourself how you are.”
Marimar’s mum Maria didn’t know of her condition until after she
was born and in her younger years she would struggle with her
appearance. The woman who has been always interested in makeup decided
to achieve her dreams by starting her own video blog on YouTube which
has become an instant success with over five million views and gets
countless messages from women who she has inspired.
She said: “People type their comments after they view my
videos, and they say some really nice things. They tell me I'm beautiful
and they love my makeup.”
Sadly not everyone has been so positive about Marimar’s venture,
and she has received some abuse from online trolls. But, she's upbeat
about the whole situation. She doesn't allow negative talk or people to
weigh her down.
Marimar’s biggest fans are her mum Maria and her older sister,
Airam, 24. She is living her dream life and hopes to inspire more
people.
