End Time: Child aged FOUR becomes the youngest in Australia to do a gender swap

A four-year-old child who identifies as transgender has begun to transition before their first day of kindergarten

 

In a news report that is currently shocking the world, a 4-year-old child who is part of the Safe Schools program and begun to transition before his/her first day of kindergarten, is hoping to complete a gender transition by next year. 

 

According to a report by Dailymail, psychologists have questioned whether the pre-schooler is too young as gender transition among young children skyrockets in Australia, though the Education Department did not reveal whether the child was born a boy or girl. 

 

Clinical psychologist, Rose Cantali, said it was 'absolutely too early' for the youngster who cannot be named, to transition.

"I would be very hesitant and other psychologists would say the same. Everything is developmental at that age," she said. 

 

Transgender advocate, Catherine McGregor, agreed that four is 'pretty young for any official policy support'.  “In my experience, kids with strong cross-gender identification tend to get it right."

 

It was learnt that the 4-year-old is the youngest Australian on record changing their gender, as hundreds of other children and their parents have sought advice from the gender dysphoria unit.

 

The Education Department's deputy secretary of school operations, Gregory Prior said; 'We have a number of students who are going through gender transition in our schools, with the youngest being a four-year-old at the moment.' 

 

It was learnt further that the Westmead Children's Hospital in Sydney has had referral patients at its gender service department triple, as 250 children, some as young as three, have made appointments with the gender dysphoria unit at Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital.
