Olusola
Alexander Oke's bid to become the next Governor of Ondo State has
suffered a fatal setback as his new party - Alliance for Democracy's
leadership rejects his candidacy.
According to strong rumours circulating the Nigerian media space,
the National Working Committee of the Alliance For Democracy (AD) has
rejected Olusola Oke's candidature in Ondo gubernatorial race according
to Sahara Reporters.
Oke had earlier decamped from the All Progressives Congress to the
Alliance for Democracy after failing to obtain the party's governorship
ticket. It would be recalled that the youth wing of the A.D had earlier
kicked against the substitution of the party's existing candidate with
Oke.
According to NWC, the actions of the party's national Chairman -
Chief Joseph Avazi and others to impose Oke undemocratically on the A.D
has been condemned in a joint communique released below. Oke earlier in
2015 decamped from the People's Democratic Party, PDP.
