A
grandfather can now have peace of mind after he was rescued from a tree
trunk he has been living in for 2 years following an alleged divine
call.
Mr Ng’ang’a Njuguna from Subukia sub-county
A 90-year-old man who has been living in the trunk of a tree for
two years might have seen a new vision after he finally found a new
home.
NairobiNews reports that Mr Ng’ang’a
Njuguna from Subukia sub-county of Kenya was taken to a home for the
elderly in Nakuru County two weeks ago. The welfare officer at the old
people’s home, Mr Rueben Otete, said Mzee Njuguna was taken for a health
check and was found to have high blood pressure.
“Doctors attributed this to the
stress of living in the tree. However, during a second visit to the
hospital, his blood pressure had returned to normal,” Mr Otete said. Mzee Njuguna said he was happy at the home.
“I don’t have to worry about food, clothes or where to sleep,” he said.
He had spent two good years living in the trunk of a tree after he
said a divine call had compelled him to do it. The man also revealed
that his family members have refused to visit him since he made the
shocking decision to live in the trunk of a tree. He's very happy to be
living in his new home now.
