It is the end of the road for a heartless Fulani thief who shot a man in the mouth after trying to rob him at a shop.
Muhammadu Osmanu wa beaten to a pulp after he was caught
A heartless 20-year-old Fulani man identified as Muhammadu Osmanu
on Thursday shot a man in the mouth after entering a provision shop at
Mpamu near Hweehwee, a community in the Kwahu East District of the
Eastern region of Ghana to steal.
According to Daily Graphic,
he was caught by one George Kwame Ankamah, a 46-year-old in-law of the
shop owner but things turned tragic after Osmanu shot Ankamah in the
mouth to prevent him from raising alarm.
Nkawkaw Divisional Police Commander Chief Superintendent James
Sarfo Peprah, said Osmanu was presently in police custody while
investigations were ongoing.
Explaining how it happened, Peprah said Ankamah had seen the inside
light of the shop switched on and therefore decided to go find out who
was in there. He said when Ankamah opened the door of the shop, Osmanu
who was hiding in there, apparently on a stealing spree, shot him in the
mouth, killing him instantly.
Osmanu was later apprehended by the youths of the community as he tried to escape.
He was handed over the police after receiving thorough beating from
the youths. The body of Ankamah has since been deposited at the Atibie
Government Hospital morgue.
