Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Nnamdi Omoni
A policeman attached to Mopol 19 in Rivers State, has cried out for
help after he was thrown into cell for the past two weeks without
committing any offence.
The policeman identified as Sunday Sadiku in a text message made
available to Punch said his rank (not stated) was removed before he was
thrown inside the cell.
“I am Sadiku Sunday serving in Mopol 19 PMF, Port Harcourt,
Rivers State Command. I have been in the cell for over two weeks now
without committing any offence.
“This was after they had removed my rank without committing any
offence and they started punishing me. Now, I am still in the cell,” the message from Sadiku read.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Nnamdi Omoni, refused to say anything on the matter.
