Police have reportedly teargassed members of the Islamic Movement
of Nigeria a.k.a. Shi'ites who are currently staging a protest in Kano
over the continued detention of their leader, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky
in the custody of the Directorate of State Security, DSS.
The same protest is also holding in Gombe state according to
reports. Some Shi'ite members collapsed during the physical exercise as
the group remains resilient to free its incacerated leader who has been
in the custody of security operatives since last year.
