Donald
Trump's win has really bugged him! Popular American Professor and
polling expert eats a cricket on live TV to settle a bet he made over
the shocking U.S election result.
A Princeton University professor, Dr. Sam Wang, a polling expert
who said he would eat a bug if Donald Trump won more than 240 electoral
votes during Tuesday's election, has fulfilled his promise.
According to Dailymail UK,
the professor feasted on crickets in honey on Saturday morning in a
live television show to settle the bet following Trump's shocking
election victory.
Reports revealed that the data scientist was reminded of his wager
while discussing the election and why predictions went wrong with host,
Michael Smerconish on CNN's 'Smerconish'.
It was gathered that back on October 19, Wang had tweeted: 'It's totally over. If Trump wins more than 240 electoral votes, I will eat a bug.'
President-elect Trump ended winning the election after capturing
Wisconsin's 10 electoral votes, putting him over the 270 threshold
needed to win. In total Trump had 290 electoral votes while Democratic
presidential nominee Hillary Clinton had 228.
So on Saturday, Smerconish made sure to bring up Wang's promise, saying 'What about the bug?' Wang then held up a small can which he described as a 'can of gourmet-style crickets... gourmet from the point of view of a pet.'
Wang
mixed the can of crickets with honey before taking a bite. When asked
how it tasted he said, 'kind of mostly honey-ish, a little nutty'
He added that he has been told they are a 'great source of protein and so on.'
