The shocking number of deadly and dangerous weapons recovered from Niger Delta militants has justified the need for amnesty.

Niger Delta militants have surrendered dangerous weapons to the Rivers State Amnesty Committee.

 

The weapons were presented to the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike today, November 15 as part of the government's effort to curb the issue of militancy in the region. 

 

The state government had granted the militants amnesty as part of arrangement for their surrendering.
