After
the disastrous inferno that razed a part of the popular Phill-Hallmark
Supermarket in Benin, the mall has now re-opened for business.
The shopping mall was destroyed on Sunday by fire
The biggest mall in Benin, Phill-Hallmark Supermarket, in Oredo
Local Government Area of Edo State capital is back and working after
fire razed it down destroying goods worth billions of naira.
It was gathered that a section of the shopping mall which was not affected is now open for business.
Here is the press release from Samuel Mac-Ebi, the mall's publicist.
The most unexpected midnight inferno that transformed the PHIL
HALMARK generational Multi-Departmental Shopping Mall investment, to
paradoxical carcass of the aesthetic and shoppers delight from the
south-south and indeed traversing tourists in Nigeria and from abroad,
is BUT just a temporary setback to leap to the ZENITH of this line of
business by my friend of over thirty years, Mr Phil Edigin.
A multi-million colossal loss it is. Down but certainly not out, really not out of business.
The enormity of goodwill from the governor and people of Edo State,
Nigeria and overseas is deeply appreciated by the Chairman, CEO, Mr.
Philip Edigin and will react to express his profound appreciation at the
appropriate time.
However, for now, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has in one way or the other expressed concern and help.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Despite the temporary set back, we are encouraged to inform you
that Phil Halmark Multi-Plaza is open for business from Tuesday 13
December, 2016.
Because of the multi-departmental heavy world class stock, some of
the units are gravely affected while others are still intact and ready
for shoppers.
This is evidenced by the current graphic pictorials attached to this resume.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE EXTREME RIGHT OF THE BUILDING, WHICH IS A
MASSIVE EXTENSION OF THE MALL HOUSING SIGNIFICANT UNITS, IS NOT AFFECTED
BY THE INFERNO, AS YOU MAY SEE FROM PICTURE ONE AND IS CERTIFIED SAFE
FOR SHOPPERS.
More than any moment else, this is the time to patronize the Philip
Edigin family, the business, the numerous employees he took away from
the unemployment market and indeed the macro-economy of the state.
HALMARK MULTI-PLAZA remains the "Mark of Excellence" by the grace
of GOD ALMIGHTY and is already in the threshold of reconstruction to
bounce back fully with additional greatness, much more than the height
it was before the inferno.
GOD bless you all for the inestimable prayers, support, help and goodwill.
Samuel Mac-Ebi
