A
traditional doctor has been arraigned before an Ebute-Metta chief
magistrate's court sitting in the commercial city of Lagos by the
operatives of Nigerian Police Force.

An Ebute-Metta chief magistrate’s court sitting in Lagos, has
arraigned a 49-year-old traditional healer identified as Oluyemi
Olushola, for allegations of r*pe, obtaining money under false pretence
and dishonest conversion.
According to DailyTrust, the accussed native doctor allegedly r*ped
a 49-year-old woman, Toyin Bello, under the pretence of conducting
medical investigation on her.
Speaking during the court proceedings, Chinalu Uwadione from the
State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti,
Yaba, told the court that the accused, who is the owner of Sayemi
Nature Science Centre in Ikeja, committed the alleged offence in April
2016. He also alleged that the accused collected the sum of N8,500 from
the victim.
On hearing the Police prosecutor's submittion, Olushola denied committing the act.
Following his “not guilty” plea, Chief Magistrate Oluwayemisi
Adelaja, admitted him to bail in the sum of N100, p000, with one surety
in the same sum.
The matter was adjourned till January 23, 2017, for mention.
