Following
the unfortunate incident in an Akwa Ibom church that got many
worshipers killed, an ex governor has gone to see the survivors.
Godswill Akpabio visiting survivors
Senator Godswill Akpabio, a former Akwa Ibom State Governor, has
visited survivors of the Reigners Gospel Church collapse in Uyo.
He paid them the visit yesterday at the Akwa Ibom International Specialist Hospital.
It will be recalled that scores were killed and many more injured
when the roof of Reigners Bible Church International collapsed during
the Archbishopric ordination of its founder, Akan Weeks as Bishop, over
the weekend.
The state governor, Udom Emmanuel, who attended the service as a
special guest of honour with other top government officials, escaped
deathwhile some of his aides sustained injuries.
"I was impressed by the efforts of the medical personnel at the
hospital. I pray for the quick recovery of the sick and injured," he said
