Two students in Tak province’s Mae Ramat neighborhood got the
surprise of their life on Thursday afternoon after they were presented
with some donated clothes to wear during the winter months.
According to Bangkok Post,
when they were trying on the old clothes, they found a wad of cash in
the pocket of a pair of jeans that added up to THB100,000!
Cousins, Khamnon Kaenwichit and Nawapon Suksereepon, both 9,
quickly alerted their teacher, who had distributed the clothes to the
underprivileged students.
The students immediately said that they wanted to try to return the money to its rightful owner.
The old clothing had only been donated the week before.
Mae Ramant district chief, Wathit Panyakom and district Red Cross
chairwoman, Nongkhran Panayakhom on Friday, led officials to meet the
boys at their home in Ban Khun Huay Mae Thor.
The district chief gave them two bags of new clothes, blankets and
other essential items. Jiraporn Khamput, director of the highland
