Some
group of Nigerians are really angry with President Muhammadu Buhari and
Yemi Osinbajo after their election campaign resurfaced online.
The controversial Buhari and Osinbajo campaign picture
Many Nigerians have blasted the government of President Muhammadu
Buhari after its election campaign photo in which the All Progressives
Congress promised to provide electricity, affordable kerosene and
security for the people if elected.
Nigerians are groaning because it is exactly the opposite of what
Buhari and Osinbajo promised that Nigerians have witnessed. Today,
kerosene sells at 295 per litre according to a BusinessDay. People have been complaining about the economy as one dollar is now N495 at the black market.
The government of Buhari was insensitive to the plight of Nigerians as it hike the fuel price from N87 to N145
even though Nigerians staged protest as they said it would compound the
suffering of the masses. Many people have wondered how the government
which promised to make things affordable can wake up and cause the
people such hardship.
The promise to provide electricity has become a far cry as darkness
has continued torment Nigerians. In fact, many industries have been
affected by the epileptic electricity supply which the government had
promised to change during its campaign period.
"This is not what we had expected from this government." someone commented.
Another added: "Things are really hard and the government is
doing nothing to help us. We are dying of hunger and prices of goods
have skyrocketed."
