A
popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer has angrily staged a walkout during an
interview with presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina.
Dede Mabiaku and Femi Adesina
Dede Mabiaku is a versatile musician, who has come a long way in the Afrobeat, Highlife and Jazz music genres.
The man has over the years proven himself a force to reckon with in
the Nigerian music scene, within and outside the shores of the country.
A protégé of the Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Dede indeed learnt at the feet of the master himself.
Dede has been a very vocal critic of the Federal Government and
does not hold back when it comes to him making his opinion known about
what he feels is going wrong.
Earlier this month, Mabiaku, in an interview with Sahara Reporters,
came hard on the President Buhari led government, saying that the
change they promised has not been felt by Nigerians.
Yesterday, Dede and Senior Special Assistant to the President
Buhari on Media and Personality were guests on Lagos Talk 91.3 FM where
they had a heated discussion.
However, Dede stormed out of the radio studio after Femi told him to shut up during the programme.
