The
private jet of the controversial PDP leader, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff
has been impounded by the country's premier anti-graft body.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has impounded a
private jet belonging to former governor of Borno State, Ali Modu
Sheriff at Maiduguri airport.
According to Sahara Reporters, the private jet owned by the
factional Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was impounded by
EFCC for an offence yet to be made public.
Ali Modu Sheriff is slowly being investigated by the EFCC for
allegedly diverting parts of the N300billion his administration received
from the Federation Account between 2003 and 2011 and were not
judiciously spent.
The investigation began in 2012 and had been ongoing ever since, a
source said. Mr. Sheriff governed Borno State on the platform of the
defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party.
