Lekan Fatodu and Omoyele Sowore are currently in a war of words in
the media as the former accuses the SaharaReporters founder of
blackmailing him and demanding a whopping sum of N100 million as bribe.
Mr. Sowore who recently returned to Lagos, Nigeria has accused, Mr.
Fatodu, his friend of 20 years of corruptly benefiting from
controversial administration of former President Goodluck Ebele
Jonathan.
Meanwhile, there are reports that the Nigeria Police Force has been
surreptitiously mediating between both media heavyweights but Sowore
has insisted on going to the court to prove his innocence.
Sowore has accused Fatodu of being part of a major plan by top
government officials through the Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni
to perpetrate his arrest and detention in prison cell.
Supporters of Sowore have taken to the street in Lagos to advocate for the criminal arrest by Fatodu by the police.
