The Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Monday while speaking with
State House correspondents shortly after a meeting behind closed doors
with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John
Odigie-Oyegun has given a hint about the health of President Muhammadu
Buhari.
Osinbajo said he spoke with Buhari earlier in the day to keep him
abreast of developments regarding the 2017 Budget and the protests
embarked upon by some Nigerians.
He however said that only President Muhammadu Buhari would
disclose his health status to Nigerians at the appropriate time.
Osinbajo added that Buhari was not in any way under pressure to resign.
Osinbajo said he spoke to the President about concerns raised by Nigerians who protested today.
He had earlier reacted to the protest by saying that Nigerians deserve a decent life.
"To those who are protesting, WE HEAR YOU loud and
clear, those who are on the streets protesting the economic situation
and even those who are not, but feel the pain of economic hardship. We
hear you loud and clear. You deserve a decent life and and we are
working night and day to make life easier." Osinbajo said.
