The
popularity of President Muhammadu Buhari has begin to wane in less than
20 months of his administration following the spate of economic
hardship.
The protester on a wheelchair
Despite the threats against the national protest aimed at the All
Progressives Congress-led administration, aggrieved masses have come out
en masse to voice their concerns about the state of the country.
In a rare show of activism, a cripple on a wheelchair joined the
team of #IStandWithNigeria protesters to lament against the biting
economic hardship in the country.
The young man refused to allow his physical status to limit him as he wielded a placard with the inscription; "What happened to the naira?".
It would be recalled that the Naira has plummeted to N500 in exchange for the dollar at the black market.
His appearance according to reports gathered revealed the young
man's energy and zeal was a source of inspiration to other protesters
who were initially cowed by the threats of the security operatives.
