Is This the Dumbest Criminal Ever? See the 'Careless' Burglar Who Led the Police to Himself After Stealing

A young man who stormed a house to burgle it has ended up leading the police straight to himself after doing something considered really foolish.
Pasek Tsheisi is being arrested for burglary

Although thieves are generally known to be cunning and smart, one particular burglar identified as Pasek Tsheisi, a South African man, proved not to be too smart.

According to Tuko, Tsheisi, a wanted burglary suspect, allegedly broke into a local doctor's property in the small Free State farming town of Wesselbron and took off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Though he managed to get away with cash, Tsheisi made one hell of a mistake. He left his cell phone at the crime scene.

"A doctor's property was broken into in Wesselbron. We have been looking for the thief for a while now," says Captain Stephen Thakeng who doubles as the region's police spokesperson.

The burglar, according to the police, accessed the building through the roof and damaged the alarm system before he made away with money.

Fortunately, or unfortunately for Tsheisi, the police were able to trace him through his cell phone. He was spotted along the streets and immediately apprehended as he tried to escape on seeing a police vehicle.

The suspect was arraigned at Wesselsbron magistrate's court and charged with robbery. He is expected to appear in court again on 7th February for bail application.
