Some disturbing photos have emerged on social media showing how a man beat his wife to stupour simply because she could no longer bear more children for him.

Nigerian lawyer and former legal consultant at African Development Bank, Emeka Ugwuonye, has taken to the Facebook page of 'The Due Process Advocates (DPA)', to share some photos as he reports the story of a young woman who was beaten blue-black by her husband over her inability to bear more children.
