young Nigerian lady who has just walked out of her marriage after a
year due to domestic violence has advised other women never to stay in
marriages which could end their lives.

A young lady identified as Joan Ukeri, has taken to her Twitter
page (@Joan_Ukeri) and revealed how she moved out of her matrimonial
home just one year after her marriage.
The young lady on social media, revealed that she moved out of her
marriage due to domestic violence, and advised other women never to
think this menace will stop but it will only kill if one is not
careful.
Her post reads: “Finally being brave and letting go of a
violent husband and an abusive marriage, domestic violence can't be
cured, it only kills.”
Instead of being criticised for leaving her marriage, Ukeri
received a lot of congratulatory messages from other women on social
media.
